Who is the opponent?

It is you. You may think that you lose because you havent met the opponent before and maybe you have not face the strategy that the opponent use. If you look closely, the body have no issue to face any challengers. This is because it has its own survival instinct which is located at the brain stem of the cerebellum. My previous post, I mention about the type of fighter whereby the hybrid type is the best.

Anyway, if you falls under that type, you are unstoppable and the only thing that stops you from winning is yourself. It is yourself confidence and believing in yourself. It is about trusting yourself by letting your body, mind and soul align to your rythm. It is very powerful when you believe in yourself when the body, mind and soul are align. Every moves just work out smoothly without any hiccup or hesitation. Never hesitate on your moves and if you still has some hesitation, that means that your body, mind and soul are not yet align.

Many fighter starts to lose their confidence once they know or heard that the opponent that they are facing is a national, inter-club, olympic, world champion, etc. This is just your mind playing tricks on you and you already lose the game even before it has started. To convince yourself, you need a little bit of visualisation about the game that you will play before it starts. This is just to tame your wild mind and start to program it accordingly. Once you enter the ring, let it be, let it flow and remember to relax. If you are left behind by several points, go for the head and dont think how you will go about to do that. Don't worry about what techniques to use, just focus that you will score head point. Just tell your mind what you want and let your body work by itself. Ofcourse you need to know all those techniques (backswing, backthrust, 360, etc.) as what you have learnt during your training.

It will all come back to you when you are relax and gets into your rythm and fight back. I normally do my rythmic jog to get back my rythm..
